The Arwenack Era

Here are some colour shots of our club layout in the early 1970s. The layout was approximately 40` long x 10` wide and consisted of a four track mainline and a branch with intermediate passing loop. The main stations were Broome Jct (six platforms/yard/motive power depot), and Pendennis (branch terminus) with two platforms, the main one holding ten coaches. Those were the days!

The layout was operational in this state until approximately 1979.

These photographs, from about 1976, shows the viaduct with loco and autocoach,
both of which, it is believed, are still in the owner's collection.
